RAMAT GAN, ISRAEL, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- PinkStar, a medical AI company developing decision support technology for breast MRI, today announced the signing of a Data and Collaboration Agreement with Mount Sinai Health System to enable data sharing to power and train PinkStar’s AI technology for breast MRI interpretation, which was developed at Sheba Medical Center.

Breast MRI is the most sensitive imaging modality for detecting breast cancer. While its use is expanding rapidly, driven by evolving screening recommendations and increasing breast density awareness, the imaging is among the most complex and time-intensive to interpret. As a result, while AI-based interpretation tools have become widely available for mammography and ultrasound, breast MRI has been left largely without comparable decision support.

PinkStar was built to close that gap. Developed at the Sheba Medical Center through its ARC innovation arm, the technology will assist radiologists at the point of MRI reading, providing AI-driven characterization of suspicious findings to support the detection of early-stage lesions, improve interpretation efficiency and consistency across readers, and reduce unnecessary biopsies.

The agreement marks the company's first clinical collaboration with a leading U.S. academic medical institution, with Mount Sinai making a long-term commitment to advancing the technology. The collaboration will be led by Dr. Laurie Margolies, Professor of Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Vice-Chair for Breast Imaging, and Dr. Elisa Port, Chief of Breast Surgery at Mount Sinai Health System, through the Tisch Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, and its Center of Excellence for Breast Cancer.
