Israel Electric Corporation Approves iLamp Israel Pilot

Autonomous solar lighting infrastructure with intelligent edge-computing capability will be evaluated under real-world operating conditions

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- iLamp Israel Ltd. announced that the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) has approved a pilot deployment of iLamp autonomous solar lighting infrastructure at an IEC facility.

The pilot will examine the system's lighting performance, reliability and suitability for the site's coastal environment.
Each iLamp pole integrates LED lighting, a 360-degree solar array and battery storage within a single structure, enabling it to generate and store the energy required for autonomous operation. The platform can also support intelligent edge computing at the pole, allowing data to be processed close to where it is generated.

The project represents the first operational deployment of iLamp technology with IEC.
“This is an important opportunity to demonstrate iLamp in a demanding, real-world environment and establish clear performance data,” said Anna Finkelstein, Business Development at iLamp Israel. “IEC’s rigorous professional approach makes this a particularly significant deployment for us in Israel.”

Albert Taubi, Director of iLamp Israel, said: “IEC’s approval marks an important step in introducing autonomous solar infrastructure to major operators. Our focus is now on delivering a successful installation and demonstrating the system’s practical value.”

Following installation, the system will be monitored according to agreed technical and operational criteria. Any continuation or expansion beyond the approved pilot will be considered separately by IEC based on the results.
